January RE News

After all the holiday fun, RE will be focusing on the theme of “The Gift of Liberating Love” in January. We will explore self-acceptance, love as a grounding force, and love as a call to action.

As part of our love for the community we live in, our RE kids selected a service project. After discussion related to “conundrums” our society is facing, we worked to brainstorm possible solutions. We talked about food scarcity, bullying, climate issues, and homeless pets and shelters. A decision was finally made to focus on the Humane Society of Midland County. More information to follow on how the fellowship can assist with this project!

We are always looking for volunteers in RE! Volunteering with RE means spending about 30-45 minutes with our group during the service. We have a snack, talk about our joys and concerns, participate in the scheduled activity, and often head outside if the weather is cooperating and time is available. Our littlest participants spend time playing in the nursery.

We would love to plan activities around some of the talents and skills represented in the fellowship, such as; woodworking, painting or drawing, knitting, crochet, crafting, writing, science-based activities, etc.

If you are interested in volunteering this year, please reach out and we will get you on the calendar!
