Sharing Stories of Liberation: Directing THE EXONERATED

THE EXONERATED is a play written by Jessica Blank and Erik Jensen. It centers around the stories of six death-row inmates who were exonerated from their wrongful convictions. The play takes the audience on the journey from accusation to exoneration. Michael Wisniewski directed this play, which was performed at Creative 360 in February 2020 and at Bay City Players last February. He will share his experience bringing the play to Midland and Bay City, why he thought it would be meaningful for both communities, and what it was like for him and the actors to bring these stories to life. Led by guest speaker Michael Wisniewski.
