Last Sunday, our Faith Formation session explored paying attention to details and noticing things we often overlook.

Monica Hughes read the book Over and Under the Pond with the group during the session. To make the story interactive, each child folded a piece of paper into a basket-like booklet and drew a pond on the top page. As Monica read, the children added illustrations to their papers, drawing things that lived or happened over the pond and things that existed under the pond.

The activity was a big hit. The children were engaged throughout the story and were excited to add new drawings as the book progressed. They enjoyed the project so much that ALL of them chose to stay after the service to continue working on their artwork and complete their pond scenes.
