Kathryn Tate, President & CEO of The Legacy Center for Community Success, reexamines the idea that “it takes a village,” demonstrating how it extends beyond raising children to strengthening entire communities. With a focus on literacy, youth development, and substance use prevention, she will encourage individuals to use their unique gifts in service to others – and ultimately, building meaningful relationships that create lasting outcomes. Kathryn Tate has served as President & CEO of The Legacy Center for Community Success since 2019. The Legacy Center strengthens community resilience through literacy, youth development, and substance use prevention programs. In her role, Kathryn provides strategic leadership and oversees agency operations to ensure community needs are met.

Kathryn also serves on the boards of West Midland Family Center and the Midland High School Music Parents Association and enjoys coaching springboard diving.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in human development and a master’s degree in education from Purdue University, as well as a certificate in nonprofit executive leadership from Indiana University. Kathryn lives in Midland with her husband and two teenage sons.
