Friends, as the end of the regular program year quickly approaches, I want to take a moment for curiosity with you. When you consider your personal and spiritual needs, what are they? Time for yourself? Someone to talk with? Resources or connections to help you plan your life? Time to heal? Family time? Intellectual stimulation? Fun in community? I hope you receive all these and more in our fellowship and beyond.
I know that, in a world filled with so many challenges, it’s hard not to worry. Believe it or not, I fret about things all the time. Often, though, I find that one of the things that gives me freedom from worry is curiosity, considering the situation from another perspective, and the faith and knowledge that “things won’t always be this way.” Our fate is not predetermined. “Revelation is not sealed.” We do have agency over at least some parts of our lives.
So as we barrel into the summer months, I hope you will join me in being curious, in reaching out to others, and in taking the time we need to live the full, rich lives we are meant to live.
Blessings,
Rev. Eric
