Committees and Groups

Adult Religious Education (Chair: Becky Carlson) - Coordinates and sponsors events related to adult religious education,  including lay-led classes and workshops.

Aesthetics (Chair: Marilyn Soules) - Identifies or proposes changes that need to be made to the interior of the Fellowship.

Building and Grounds (Chair: Vicki Rothhaar) - Maintains our facilities and keeps them physically attractive.  Sponsors the semi-annual cleanup days.

Children's Religious Education (Chair: Lisa Drottar) - This committee is responsible for the religious education of the youth of the Fellowship.  A separate brochure describes the religious education program.  This committee continually needs volunteers to teach and to help out in other ways.  The committee is also responsible for the Youth Group.

Choir (Director: Darla Iaquinta) - Promotes the use of music in our Fellowship and assists with program planning.  The choir (the "Jefferson Street Singers") rehearses every Wednesday evening 7:00 to 9:00 pm.

Endowment (Chair: Tom Bailey) - Manages the Fellowship's endowment.

Finance (Chair: Vicki Rothhaar) - Develops budgets and makes financial recommendations.

Fund Raising (Chair: Kathy Weaver) - Directs our scrip program, annual action,  rummage sale, and other fundraising activities.  Develops new fundraising ideas.

Historian - (Dot Hornsby) - Chronicles the history of the Fellowship

Kitchen (Chair: Nancy Hainsey) - Coordinates weekly coffee hour clean-up; monitors and supervises kitchen use.

Library - Manages the Fellowship library.

Membership (Chair: Jim Falendar) - Welcomes new visitors and helps them become involved in the activities of the Fellowship.  Maintains strong ties with current members.

Ministry Committee (Chair: Kyle Bagnall) - Supports and advocates for the minister.

Nominating Committee (Chair: Roy Wedge) - Nominates members for elected Fellowship positions.

Paraministry (Chair: Donna Wedge) - Provides counseling and support for Fellowship members and friends in time of need.  Team members are trained to be confidential, nonjudgmental, empathetic listeners.  They also arrange for special care in times of crisis.

Personnel (Human Resources) Committee (Chair: Margaret Kane) - Responsible for hiring, evaluation, wage recommendations, and contract reviews of staff

Program (Chair: Judith Hill) - The program committee consists of fellowship members and includes the minister. The program committee arranges, schedules, coordinates, and evaluates Sunday programs throughout the year. It is the objective of the committee to develop an overall program series that builds & strengthens our religious community; that explores & celebrates our religious diversity; that encourages & develops the growth of our various spiritual paths; and that challenges & inspires intellectual discussion. The committee takes feedback on all services and works to develop programs that are responsive to congregational needs & principles.

Publicity (Chair: Jean Treadway) - Advertises and promotes Fellowship activities and maintains historical records.

Social (Co-Chairs: Anita Frye & Marion Stowe) - Sponsors events related to social activities for adults and families.

Social Justice (Chair: Heather Cleland-Host) - The social justice committee is formed by individuals with an interest in issues of social justice. The committee provides a congregational forum for the address of social justice issues. The committee is responsible for identifying social justice issues, providing information on issues of social justice, and initiating social action within our congregation and greater community. It coordinates its activities with other committees and provides opportunities for committee members and other members of the congregation to facilitate social change.

Sound System Committee (Chair: Jon Lipowitz) - Maintains and runs the sound system during the Sunday services.

Stewardship (Chair: Roy Wedge) - Conducts the annual pledge drive.
